The Ukrainian city of Kherson is the city of several ports, in particular a river and sea port, that's the reason why Kherson trading port is connected with 42 countries of the world.
Kherson lies along the high right bank of the river Dnipro, this is the territory where the Dnipro runs into many branches and forms many islands. Kherson is located on the plain territory called the steppe zone.
Modern Kherson is the huge city with population of 402,9 thousand inhabitants and the area of about 100 km2, the city is very famous history and deep culture.
The city's big railway net connects Kherson with Moscow, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Simferopol and other cities and even other countries.
Dnipro and the large green zone of Kherson city boundaries form magnificent conditions for the people of Kherson and foreign visitors.
The climate of Kherson is moderate continental. The average winter temperature here is rather high - +9-10°C and precipitations are quite rare- only 320-400 mm. It remains to note that the frostless period in the region lasts for about 300 days and the sunny days in the year count for 260-280. As you can see Kherson is one of the warmest cities in Ukraine.
Kherson has many green beautiful parks and in general is one of the greenest cities in Ukraine. On the territory of Kherson there are quit a few urban parks. The Park of Lenin Comsomol, Lenin Park where the Great prominent Oak of more than 100 years old grows. There are also Park of Glory, which stretches above the Dnipro river. Kherson is going through the process of becoming a very perspective city in Ukraine.
