Donetsk city is a large highly developed industrial center in the Eastern part of our country. The population of this city includes 1,132,700 people.

The area of Donetsk is about 381 km2. Donetsk is located one hour ahead of Greenwich Time, seven hours ahead of the Eastern Standard Time in the USA and Canada and seven hours behind the time line in Sydney. When it is about afternoon in Donetsk, it is about 5 AM in New York, 10 AM in London city and 7 PM in Sydney city.

Donetsk is the administrative and industrial capital of the Donetsk region. It is a large scientific and cultural city. Railway road, highways and air knot. Donetsk is also considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the Ukraine.

How to get there

The are a few ways to reach this city. You can try to fly in directly (International airport code is DOK) usually through Kyiv, Munich, Istanbul or Vienna. There are also options if you're in Ukraine - by train, air or by car. The drive from Kiev can be anywhere from 6 to 8 hours depending on how fast you drive, how many stops you make, etc.
