The average price of land sites for the building of houses in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv and Kharkiv regions from January 1 to October 1, 2009 fell by 20-30% per 100 m2, according to SV Development consulting company located in Kyiv.

The company reported that the average price of land sites in Kharkiv region over the period fell by 20%, in Lviv region – by 26.5%, in Odesa region – by 28% and in Dnipropetrovsk region. – by 30% per 100 m2.

The company noted that the average price of land sites in Kharkiv region from July 1 to October 1, 2009 shrank by 0.25%, to 1,650 USD per 100 m2. The maximum fall in the price of land sites for construction was registered in Derhachi District at 1.9%, where the average cost of 100 m2 was USD1,7. The minimum decline in the price was registered in Chuhuiv District at 1.3%, where the average cost of 100 m2 was USD 968. A 0.3% growth was registered in Kharkivsky District, to USD1,8 per 100 m2.

SV Development reported that the average cost of land sites in Odesa region over the period declined by 0.65%, to USD 6,234 per 100 m2. The maximum fall in the cost of land sites for building was registered in Illichivsk District, at 1.43%, where the average price of 100 m2 was USD 5,241. The minimum decrease in the price was registered in Ovidiopol District at 0.45%, where the average cost of 100 m2 was USD 8,291. A 1.74% rise was registered in Bilayivka District, to USD 2,742 per 100 m2.

SV Development admitted that the average cost of land sites in Lviv region over the period climbed by 0.44%, to USD 2,391 per 100 m2. The increase in the price of land sites for building was registered only in Pustomyty District at 1.05%, where the average cost of 100 m2 was USD 2,807. The 0.33-0.95% decrease in the cost was registered in the rest of the districts.

The company mentioned that the average cost of land sites in Dnipropetrovsk region over the period grew by 0.99%, to USD 2,523 per 100 m2. The maximum increase in the price of land sites for building was registered in Dnipropetrovsk District, at 1.2%, where the average cost of 100 m2 was USD 2,685. The minimum increase in the price was registered in Novomoskovsk District at 0.33%, where the average cost of 100 m2 was USD1,123. The land in Synelnykove District decreased in value by 1.123%, to USD 2,675 per 100 m2.
