Projecting of the "Belbek" Airport near Sevastopol is well underway - the construction of the new terminal will lead to the development of the entire coastal zone.

This was the chairman of the Sevastopol State Administration Volodymyr Yatsuba declared on the board of SSGA.

According to the official, the prospects of the airport "Belbek" he had discussed with Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov.

"This will be not just a terminal, but a large development of this area - with the infrastructure, the development of the coastal zone of Sevastopol, shore protection works. This is a great project to be implemented and for investors' money, and for the state money. But just want to say, the airport will be a purely state and will perform the same functions as before - the meeting of VIP-persons and leadership of the country "- said Yatsuba.

Chairman of the SSGA is going to create a special working group to prepare a project document for the airport.

"I have been instructed to prepare for week of the project document - sketches of the area. See what's already been distributed, because an airport is needed land: areas for aircraft parking, electrical power supply through agricultural enterprises, which are now in private hands. Must decide whether sewer and water supply - all engineering. This is a huge job, "- said Yatsuba.
