
The Embassy of Finland in Ukraine will open its visa centre in Kyiv on October 15, Ambassador of Finland in Ukraine Christer Michelsson has noted.
"The visa center for service clients, who wish to travel to Finland, will open in Kyiv on October 15," he admitted at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday.
He noted that the center will be situated at 60 Frunze Street, where Finland will share the premises with France.
The Ambassador emphasized that the visa center will be managed by VFS Global, which has many years experience of managing visa centers of embassies in different countries. The center will accept applications and issue passports with visa decisions. Visa documents will be considered and decisions on issuing visas will be made by the Embassy of Finland.
The embassy hopes that as the economic situation in Ukraine is improving, the number of Ukrainians, who has intensions to visit Finland, will grow, and the opening of visa application center will help streamline the process of issuing visas to Ukrainians.
Michelsson has shown his hope that the center's work will reduce the time of issuance of visas to Ukrainians to ten working days.
The Embassy of Finland is also planning to open representative offices of VFS Global in Lviv and Odesa. |
