
The United Arabian Emirates wishes to make large-scale investment into the Ukrainian aircraft building industry, the agricultural sector of the country, the Ukrainian industry, the telecommunications sector and the hotel industry of Ukraine.
It was learned from a statement by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of UAE Abdallah bin Zayid al-Nuhayyan noted the position of his country during the negotiations with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Petro Poroshenko in Abu Dhabi (the capital city of the United Arabian Emirates).
To this end, the parties have agreed to draw up specific investment projects and exchange visits of experts to work on such projects.
According to the agreement, the parties also discussed engagement of the United Arab Emirates in the building of the Children's Hospital of Future in Kyiv. The parties also discussed the opening in the United Arab Emirates of an office of an international hospital for children with cerebral palsy.
According to the agreement, during Foreign Minister Petro Poroshenko's negotiations with the head of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development the parties discussed how to establish collaboration between the countries in the farming sector, tourism, and the medical care sector.
The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development is one of the head investment funds in the United Arab Emirates. The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development deals with nearly 280 projects totally worth over USD 7 billion in 53 countries worldwide.
As it was earlier reported, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has come to the United Arabian Emirates on a visit.
During President of Ukraine Viktor Yuschenko's visit to the country in November 2009, the United Arabian Emirates admitted it was interested in collaboration with Ukraine in the defense industry, aircraft building, and the farming sector. |
