
Ukraine's farmers as of June 1, 2010, had sown 7.5 million hectares with spring cereals and leguminous crops, which is 98% of the target, according to the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry.
As of the same date last year, farmers sowed crops on 7.6 million hectares.
By June 1, 2010 farmers had sown maze on about 2.7 million hectares (99.6% of the target) against almost 2.3 million hectares year-over-year.
Sunflower seeds were sown on 3.9million hectares (101), which was the same territory sown by the same date of 2009. |
