
Prime Minister of Ukraine Nikolay Azarov assured that the Agreement on Free Trade Area of the CIS countries does not prevent the signing of the analogical document with the European Union. He stated this today, opening a government meeting.
"We must clearly understand what happened this Tuesday - there is a new, huge free trade zone in Europe. Moreover the unique because integrates markets and natural resources, in both Europe and Asia", - said Azarov.
The prime minister said that free trade area combines countries with a population more than 260 million people.

f the EU, who assured that free trade in the EU is not contrary to the creation of free trade between the EU and Ukraine. Free trade can not be much, and one freedom can not cross the other, "- he said.
Azarov assured that the government, as before, is full determination to conclude negotiations with the European partners. "For Ukraine it is also a third of turnover and market of 500 million consumers, so the next point of our plan of opening foreign markets will be signing the analogical agreement with EU", - he said.
We recall, October 18 at a meeting of CIS heads of government in St. Petersburg, was signed agreement about establishing of the free trade area. The same day, Prime Minister of Ukraine Nikolay Azarov expressed the hope that the agreement about free trade area within the CIS will take effect in January 2012.
Agreement on free trade area signed by Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Moldova and Kyrgyzstan. Not signed the agreement, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
As it became known today, the First Vice-Premier - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Andrey Klyuev October 19 during a visit in Brussels concludes negotiations with the European Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht on a free trade area with the EU. |
