Ukraine and Spain have intensions to develop the economic and investment collaboration, enhance the legal-contractual basis for the bilateral relations.
It was learned from an assessment by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On May 3, 2010 a conference opened at the UN headquarters in New York (United States of America) to consider the effect of the Non-Proliferation treaty.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostiantyn Hryschenko heads the Ukrainian delegation to the conference.
According to the assessment, Foreign Minister Hryschenko on May 3 has met with Foreign Minister of Spain Miguel Angel Moratinos. The foreign ministers also have negotiations as for the European integration of Ukraine in the context of the Spanish presidency of the European Union in the first quarter of 2010.
The foreign ministers also stressed the necessity of continuation of negotiations on amendments to the contract between Ukraine and Spain on the social provision of citizens and amendments to the Administrative Agreement on the order of its application.
The foreign ministers showed their interest in stepping up bilateral collaboration in the culture and humanitarian area.
