
President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has met with Polish and Swedish Foreign Ministers Radoslaw Sikorski and Carl Bildt to discuss preparations for the Ukraine-EU summit that is to be carried out in Brussels on November 22.
The meeting was held in Kyiv on Wednesday, the presidential press service reported.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has mentioned Poland and Sweden hope for a successful Ukraine-EU summit.
"We came to Kyiv ahead of the Ukraine-EU summit in order to show our support for Ukraine and our interest in the summit being successful," he mentioned at a common press conference with Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt in Kyiv on Wednesday.
Sikorski showed his support for the liberalization of the visa regime between Ukraine and the European Union, as well as the success of the negotiation process on the provision of a visa-free regime to Ukraine.
The parties also discussed a lot of issues of collaboration between their countries, as well as collaboration between Ukraine and the EU. |
