McDonald's Ukraine in November 2009 is going to open a new fast food restaurant located at the address 22, Molodezhny Kvartal in Luhansk, which would be the 68th restaurant of the Ukrainian chain, the company's public relations manager, Mykhail Shuranov, has told recently.
He noted that this would be a one-storey building, which is under building now. The building will have a new design. In particular, the usual McDonald's color match will be changed and functionality of the inner design would be improved.
Shuranov reported that in 2010 the company has plans to open four restaurants – two in the capital and two in two regional centers. The company has 10-16 land plots for development, and from among them land plots for the opening of outlets next year are to be selected.
Shuranov also confirmed total investment in the development of the Ukrainian net for this year at 20 million USD. While earlier the sum was to be spent on opening eight new and reconstructing three current fast food restaurants, over the eight months 2009 the major part of the sum went into the construction of already functioning restaurants, and only two new restaurants were opened.
"The sum of investment left unchanged, but we are paying much attention to rebuilding of constructions. In current economic conditions we understand that it is more effective to invest in the reconstruction of our restaurants," Shuranov noted.
As it was said, McDonald's Ukraine plans to quadruple the number of its restaurants in Ukraine in ten years, to 250 restaurants. |
