Foreign producers interested in providing Ukraine with fighter aircrafts should invite Ukrainian enterprises to take part in fighter aircrafts production, says the director Valentin Bardak of center for army conversion and disarmament studies.
Foreign producers interested in providing Ukraine with fighter aircrafts should invite Ukrainian enterprises to participate in production of such aircrafts. The opinion to the effect has been said by Director Valentyn Badrak of the Center for Army Conversion and Disarmament Studies (ACDS) during the round table entitled "Capacities of Ukraine's Military-Industrial Sector on Rearmament of Ukraine's Armed Forces in line with NATO Standards" held in UKRINFORM and organized by the ACDS.
As it was reported, the round table was held with the goal to raise awareness of authorities and public at large regarding capacities of Ukraine's defense enterprises to develop armaments in line with NATO standards to the benefit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
As referred to the modernization of the military aviation fleet, V. Badrak admitted that "in 10 years Ukraine should choose what type of aircrafts - the US, European or Russian one - will be adopted for service". He said that the case in point is not about a particular producer, as for example, the European fighter aircrafts Eurofighter or Grippen. At the same time, he emphasized that by now Ukraine has a chance to choose the US, European or Russian aircrafts. According to the ACDC Director, the fighter aircraft producer should propose favorable terms to Ukraine's companies to participate in manufacturing component parts for a fighter aircraft in particular. |
