
Nova Linia, a building materials hypermarket net, has the intensions to launch the construction of retail outlets in Donetsk, Sevastopol and Bila Tserkva in 2009, Oleh Shandar, the chairman of the company's board, was reported recently.
Nova Linia is by now securing permission for the construction of the facilities, was added.
All the three hypermarkets will be put into operation in 2010, as the building of one facility whose overall area is between 17000-18000 m2, takes about six months, Shandar admitted.
Moreover, Nova Linia will open a hypermarket whose overall areas is about 15000 m2, in Kherson on August 3 and a hypermarket whose overall area is about 17000 m2, in the town of Bucha, Kyiv region.
The opening of the latter as part of a shopping mall was planned for May 2009, however, the adjustment of the technological establishment, including the electricity supply and the hiring of personnel, is stilly under way.
The investment made in the building and opening of these two hypermarkets is about 27 million USD.
Currently the Nova Linia net consists of 14 stores in Kyiv (2), one each in Boryspil and Chabany (both in Kyiv region), Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Zaporizhia, Lviv, Lutsk, Simferopol, Kremenchuk, and Uzhgorod. The company has intensions in 2009 to open at least two stores, in particular, in Kherson, and Bucha (Kyiv region).
CJSC Nova Linia was founded in year 2000. In 2002, the company opened its first hypermarket for the sale of building materials in Kyiv. |
