The governments of Ukraine and Russia, Naftogaz Ukrainy and TNK-BP have concluded a memorandum of partnership in the exploration and extraction of gas from low-permeability sandstones in Donetsk region, was reported from the signing ceremony.

The agreement was concluded after the 7-th session of the economic collaboration committee of the Russian-Ukrainian intergovernmental commission that was held in Kyiv and chaired by the prime ministers of the two countries.

Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko, Naftogaz Deputy CEO Vadym Chuprun, Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko and TNK-BP Executive Director German Khan signed the agreement.
