There are no intensions to subordinate the Sofia Kyivska National Reserve to the management of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, the first deputy head of the state service for national cultural heritage, Viktor Vechersky, has emphasized.
"Sofia Kyivska National herritage will not be transferred, there are no such intensions, such documents are not being drafted," he noted at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
Vechersky also added that the re-subordinated of Sofia Kyivska from the management of the Regional Policy, Building, Housing and Utilities Economy Ministry to the management of the Culture Ministry was been done due to the need to revise the management system.
According to his words, at present the Culture Ministry is in charge of the protection of sites of cultural heritage.
Vechersky also mentioned that after Sofia Kyivska is re-subordinated to the Culture Ministry an inventory of funds of the reserve would be conducted, as well as an audit of financial and economic activity over the last several years.
Additionally, Vechersky mentioned that Sofia Kyivska would remain state property. |
