School Education in Ukraine

Some 67% of Ukrainian citizens say school education has to be reformed, according to a new poll conducted by Gorshenin Institute of Management Issues.
When asked if such a reform has to be carried out, a total of 51% of those polled answered " yes," while 26.3% of Ukrainians answered "absolutely not."
Over a quarter of Ukrainians noted they don't see the need for such reform, including some respondents who admitted there was rather no need for it, while 7.3% of those polled said there is no need for such reform at all. Some 8% of the respondents failed to answer.
A total of 35% of Ukrainians added the quality of current education at the Ukrainian schools is satisfactory, the majority of those polled said it is good, and the minority said it is unsatisfactory.
Only 7% of Ukrainians said the quality of school education was excellent, while 9.8% failed to answer.
Some 62% mentioned the use of foul language was widely spread, 35% of the respondents said it was common, and only 2% of those polled said foul language was not common among pupils. Some 34% of the respondents failed to answer.
It is ought to admit that in spite of any thoughts and considerations, the 1-st of September, probably, forever will remain a nice pretty holiday – the Knowledge Day – where all the pupils in the Ukrainian schools together with their parents and teachers celebrate study starting. And this day is really special for those who go to school for the first time.
So, happy study and lots of knowledge, dear Ukrainian pupils! |
