Based in Dnipropetrovsk- SPAR-Center Ltd. that manages SPAR supermarkets in Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv region, on November 22 opened a shop at 4, Zdolbunivska Street in Kyiv - the second store in the capital and 34th in Ukraine.

Natalya Radko, the managing director of SPAR-Ukraine Ltd. (Kyiv) that sells franchise agreements on the opening of SPAR shops in Ukraine, reported that the trade space of the store is 1,900 square meters.

Radko did not disclose how many shops will be opened by the end of the year, while earlier the company noted that it plans to expand its chain to 58 outlets by late 2009.

As reported, branch OJSC Cherkasy House of Trade - SPAR-Ukraine on August 6, 2009 was reorganized into SPAR-Ukraine Ltd. and moved its head office to Kyiv from Cherkasy.

The co-owners of SPAR-Ukraine Ltd. were located in Cherkasy SPAR-Ukraine Company, SPAR-Center (Dnipropetrovsk) and SPAR-Luhansk Ltd.

Branch OJSC Cherkasy House of Trade of SPAR-Ukraine has been the exclusive representative of SPAR International in Ukraine as of 2006. The SPAR net in Ukraine is being developed on a franchise basis.

Currently, its net consists of 34 stores in 14 cities and towns of Ukraine.
