The price of hotel rooms in the capital can be raised by 12% in the second half of 2010, Dmytro Pikalov, the senior consultant on hotel and residential real estate at the Ukrainian Trade Guild (UTG, Kyiv), has noted.
"It is not worth expecting strong changes in room prices, only seasonal changes from 4% to 12% are possible," he reported to journalists at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
Pikalov admitted that the average hotel room price per day in Kyiv in the first half of 2010 had changed very little even after the 25-34% decrease in the prices of rooms in four- and five-star hotels.
According to Pikalov’s words, as of late June 2010 the price of a standard double room per day varied from 65 USD to 560 USD (including VAT).
The occupancy of hotels in the capital in July to December could grow by 1-5%, he added.
The UTG was set up in 2001. The company offers a full range of services that allow it to realize all stages of a development project. The company manages trade, office, and industrial, warehouse, residential and out-of-town housing property. The company's portfolio has 352 projects, 253 objects, and 20.8 million square meter of property. |
