The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has assigned the Presidential election on October 25, 2009.

According to the last news reported, 401 out of 422 deputies, who are registered in the session hall have voted for the relevant resolution.

174 deputies from the Party of Regions, 155 deputies from the BYUT, 26 deputies from the OU-PSD, 27 deputies from the CPU and 19 deputies from the Lytvyn's Bloc voted "for" this resolution.

The resolution comes into force from the moment of publicizing.
