General plant of the capital development to 2020 assumes the expansion of Kyiv for 11 areas of region. It was reported by the director of Institute "Kyivgenplan" Vladymyr Chekmarev in the interview to the newspaper "Uryadovy kuryer".

According to his words the content of Kyiv area will include in particular Baryshevskiy, Makarovskiy, Fastiv areas, as well as towns-satellites Berezan', Boryspil, Brovary, Vasylkiv, Vyshneve, Fastiv.

Cherkmaryov admitted the general plan also assumes building of 22 mln of sq m of accommodation in Kyiv.

"Thus general living fond of the capital will grow to 71 mln of sq m. Besides in 2002 there was 18 m2 of accommodation for 1 capital cictizen, and in 2020 this one of the indicators of our Europeanization will grow to 27 m2"- he mentioned.

General plan of Kyiv development was accepted by Kyiv soviet in 2002.
