Kyiv Main Department for City Building, Architecture and Design has intensions to draw up a zoning plan for the central, historical part of Kyiv by the end of 2010, for submission to the capital's Council.

"We will finish the elaboration of a zoning plan for Kyiv central historical part by the end of this year, and in the second half of next year we will approve a general plan. We will submit the plan to Kyiv Council for approval by the end of 2010," acting head of the department Serhiy Bronevitsky noted at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.

According to his words, the elaboration of a zoning plan for the whole Ukrainian capital is planned for the next year.

Bronevitsky noted that the zoning plan will include building height specifications, housing density figures, and information on the purposes of buildings.
