The following month UN experts will assess the housing sector of Ukraine in order to provide objective information. Ministry of Regional Building of Ukraine has established its own group of experts, which included officials responsible for housing and communal services.

On June 14-17 will take place the founding meeting of the national team with a preparatory mission of experts of the UNECE.

To assess the housing sector is to provide objective information for decision-making by the Government or local authorities with respect to affordable, healthy and ecological homes.

Such an assessment is carried out in Bulgaria, Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, Romania, Moldova, Albania, Armenia, Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, Georgia and Belarus.

Should be reminded, the International Finance Corporation (IFC, a member of the World Bank) estimates the cost of repair of all residential real estate in Ukraine at 15-50 billion dollars.
