
Some 53% of the Ukrainians know that it is necessary to create an international gas consortium with European Union countries with to modernize Ukraine's gas transportation system, according to a survey conducted by the Gorshenin Institute of Management Issues on February 20-22, 2010.
According to the survey, 22% of respondents believe that such a consortium should be formed with Russia, and 8.8% think that the consortium should be set up only with the EU. Some 8% of those surveyed showed the need to retain the existing order of things in this issue, and 8% were undecided.
The institute introduced a phone interview of 1,000 respondents aged over 18 from all regional centers in Ukraine, and the Ukrainian cities of Kiev and Sevastopol. The poll's margin of error does not reach 3.2%. |
