To the Independence Day it was promised to decorate and illuminate from beneath capital sights on Grushevskogo and Institutskaya Streets.

And to EURO 2012 almost 100 memorials will be illuminated.

Kyiv - the capital of Ukraine is one of the largest cities of Europe. It is located on the river Dnipro (Dniper). The population of this city is about 4 130 000 people (without estimation of tourists - about 2661). The city has a territory of 839 km2. Together with suburbs it forms the Kyiv agglomeration with the population of 5 206 000 people. Kyiv is a separate administrative territorial unit in the content of Ukraine. Its status is determined by the special law. As well Kyiv is an administrative center of Kyiv region.

There is a legend exists that Kyiv was founded by three brothers Kiy, Schek and Khoriv and by their sister Lybid in the 5-th century as a center of polyany tribes. It was named on behalf of the elder brother. According to the archeological investigations the first city settlement on the territory of Podil appeared earlier than 880/ Regarding the general point of view starting from 882 Kyiv was the capital of Kyivan Rus. First mentioning about the city are in the tractate "About managing the Empire" by Konstantin Bahryanorodny and in the Kyivan literature of Jewish community. They verify that in the beginning of the 10-th century Kyiv was a castle area of Khazaria on the border with Levedia (prehungarian establishment on the territory of Ukraine). Konstantin call this castle ^"Sambat" that means "high strengthening" from Turkic (probably and Khazarian).

Kyiv is the city of dreams, one of the most beautiful and graceful capitals of Europe. Here you can find a lot. Churches with golden domes and deep history, museums that will bring you far away into the past of our country, mild and friendly people, delicious cuisine. This is the place when some centuries ago three mythological brothers and their sister founded a very charming city that we love and proud of. There are great many historical places where the majority of foreign tourists can go. There are many memorials and sights. Visit it and you will understand that you perhaps want to live here or want to have an adorable Ukrainian real estate in this wonderful city!

Recently city authorities reported that it is planned to organize illuminating of many of city cultural and historical objects of Kyiv to Independence Day. Artistic illumination will be installed according to the conception that was adopted but not confirmed.

The conception as for how to show Kyiv in "new lights" soon will be submitted for the consideration by the Kyiv state administration staff on 27 July. In general this idea already started to be realized. To Kyiv Day city authorities already launched multicolored illumination on Krasnoarmeyska St (on the region from Saksaganskogo St to Tverska St).

As the vice-head of Kyiv city state administration Denis Bass reported renovation of memorial complex "National Museum of history of Great Civil War 1941-1945" will be finished till Independence Day. As well except of the renovation and reconstruction here artistic architectural illumination will be installed. Till 24 August also illumination constructions on Grushevskogo and Institutskaya St will be installed.

As Onishenko says for the artistic illumination of the city specialists of enterprise use constructions on the newest light diodes.
