Another round of negotiations between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will take place in middle of May, a top government official has admitted.
The fund's experts on legal issues are arriving in Kyiv on May 11, and the Mission of the IMF's European Department on May 17, according to Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergey Tigipko.
"The main issues on the agenda of May meetings will consist discussion of realistic revenues of the state budget, balancing the finances of the National JSC Naftogaz Ukraine and the implementation of structural reforms," the vice premier's press service quoted Tigipko as saying on Thursday.
Tigipko added that under a new program of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund designed for two and a half years, Ukraine might get about 19 billion USD.
If the talks with the IMF are successful, Ukraine may receive the first tranche under the new program in May, the vice premier added. |
