
The National Bank of Ukraine assumes that the hryvnia exchange rate will remain at the current level until 2010, according to the words executive director of the NBU for manage and control over currency market Anatoliy Baliuk.
Baliuk admitted that the hryvnia exchange rate may be influenced by payments for imported natural gas, possible growth of import, and also expected repayment of deposits with Ukrprombank.
The payment of foreign debts of the state and corporate sector are to be unsubstantial during the further months and will not influence the hryvnia exchange rate. He also added that the hryvnia rate within 8.0-8.20 Hr/USD is the level, the central bank will try to establish.
As of November 11, the NBU raised the official hryvnia exchange rate by 3 kopiykas to 7.99 Hr/USD. |
