The rates for housing and municipal services appeared in October will be charged in Kyiv starting from January 1, 2010, according to a resolution of Kyiv City State Administration located on the Web site of municipal newspaper Khreschatyk.

According to the statement, the rates for central heating will be Hr 1.62 per m2of heated area; rates for hot water supplying for households equipped with utility meters - Hr 10.03 per m2, and for households not equipped with utility meters - Hr 35.16 per person; the rates for cold water supplying for households equipped with utility meters will be Hr 2.87 per m2, and for households not equipped with utility meters - Hr 15.87 per person.

These tariffs for housing and municipal services will be introduced in May 2010.

As reported, in Kyiv on October 1 the indexes of central heating and for hot water supplying were decreased to the levels charged before June 1, 2009 that resulted in cuts of 29% and 23% respectively.
