Ukraine and Russia together will swim to Europe through the Ukrainian Dunay river entry, from which the cargo will be delivered to the Western countries. Such grandiose plans were discussed in Odesa by the heads of transport fields at the 26-th Session of Coordinate Soviet of countries-members of UIS (Union of Independent States). Other representatives from union-countries wishing to develop transport field also will join the project.
Mykola Rudkovskiy, Minister of Transport and Connections of Ukraine, reported, "the main transit stream will go through the "entry Shvydke on the territory of Ukraine. The advantages lie that the entry will be opened both in daytime and at night. The cost of the channel entrance is two times lower, and for today more than 100 boat has already passed it.

Ukraine has the goal to deepen the channel that is opened in the experimental procedure. According to the Rudkovskiy words, "Currently the water draught in the channel is 5.5m. During this month the level of 6 m was reached. But we should make 7.2m." To his mind that development of corridor between Volga, Don and Dunay will increase the volume of cargo transfer in several times.
After the Russian build another branch of Volhodon and create atransport corridor between Kaspiy and Black Sea, the cargo will go the European Union through the Ukrainian part if Dunay.
Except of the Dunay corridor the Ministers of transport have looked through the problem of reforming of the railway transport at the current stage, as well as the problem of collaboration in this field. Rudkovskiy mentioned: Technical demands in different railways start to chage. It can lead that we will not be able to proceed the common technical politics". Russia has proposed to the UIS countries to create common tariff rates for water, railway and auto carriers on the appropriate route.

Thus transfer of some mineral resources from Byelorussia to Ukraine is already carried out. As it was admitted at the session, "without introduction of tariff the realization of plans as for the renewal of Silk way with route China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Western Europe- will be impossible".
As well Rudkivskiy reported that "the participants of session decided to support the proposal of Russian Federation as for the utilization in the union-countries of international standard IOSA in order to increase to safety of flights. "While discussion the problem of increasing the level of safety of flights was broached. It was admitted that currently it is necessary to increase the competitive ability of UIS air lines and take into account that the demands for the safety are introduced to the countries of EU and USA. According to Rudkovski words, Ukrainian air line heading made the decision to improve the technical conditions of air planes as soon as possible. |
