
Donetsk Donbas Fuel and Energy Company (DTEK) intend to buy the coal mine titled after M.P.Tchikh in Rostov-on-Don region in Russia.
This follows from a statement reported by the press service of administration of Rostov governor Vladimir Tchub.
DTEK main director Maksym Tymchenko discussed with Tchub issues of investing Ukrainian organizations' money in Don economy.
"Ukrainian investors' intensions to Don anthracite is warmed up by favorable market conditions for the coal business, growth of world prices for gas and oil," reads the statement.
Tchub kindly brought the DTEK desire to purchase the enterprise; he mentioned that it is beneficial for the economy of Rostov region to develop competition at the market of coalmining enterprises.
According to the statement, in June DTEK will make up its mind on taking part in the tender for selling the coalmine.
The organization priority is mined that deliver thermal grades of coal.
Besides, for the whole DTEK processor chain it is important that the new coal assets be geographically located close to the company's generating capacities in East Ukraine.
The Tchikh coalmine is located not far from the Russian-Ukrainian border, it develops a bed of over 1 meter thick, its commercial reserves make almost 50 million tons of anthracite coal.
Open joint-stock company Tchikh Coalmine reported losses of RUR 179.3 million (some UAH 9 million or USD 1.9 million). |
