The architecture and city lay out council at the Regional Development and Construction Ministry recommended that Kiev City State Administration renovate the square at the corner of Pushkinska and Khmelnytskoho Street in Kiev where Alliance-Center Ltd. is building a business and trade center.
The city lay out council took the relevant decision at its sitting on February 25, 2010.
The council also proposed Kiev City State Administration together with Alliance-Center Ltd, the customer of building, to consider the issue of allotting another land plot to the company for the construction of a trade center.
The council offered to support the proposal by the "Kiev citizens against Kiev destruction" public organization and to elaborate a general plan of the area, known as Halahan Collegium, on the basis of historical documents and to give it the status of a reserved area.
As it was reported, Kiev City Council and Alliance-Center Ltd. concluded an agreement on this land site in November 2003. After some protests by Kiev citizens, Kiev City Council cancelled the decision on allotting this land site to Alliance-Center Ltd. in July 2006.
However, on December 20, 2007, the council decided to sell this land site to Alliance-Center Ltd. again. |
