The Kyiv City State Administration introduced an important coordination with the mayor of cutting trees and bushes that have the age over 60 years old in the capital city's area, according to the new city government resolution.

Besides, the local administration raised from 3 to 5 the correction ratio for trees and bushes of above 60 years old influencing the balance value of green plantings.

According to the administration resolution, the balance cost of cutting one tree of under 20 years old is up to 20 000 hrn, from 25 to 60 years up to 50,000 hrn and above 60 years it is up to 150 000 hrn.

As it was reported, in July 2007, the Kyiv City State Administration outlined a method for removal of green plantations from the city's area and for setting their restoration value.

The restoration value depends on balance cost of the plantations (condition, age, and species), the cost of planting and care efforts.

The restoration value also depends on the cutting area: ratio 4 in central zone, 3 in suburban zone (residential areas Bykivnia, Bortnychi, Puscha-Vodytsia, Zhuliany), and 1 on other areas.

According to the local administration, Kyiv has 133 parks with 39 rest territories.

The city also has three regional, 8 national and 11 local landscape parks.
