The Kyiv city state administration limited traffic in the downtown on August 18, 21, 24, and August 25 due to preparations for, spending of, military parade on Independence Day and show of military equipment on the occasion of the Ukrainian Independence Day (August, 24).
It was learned from a statement by the press service of the Kyiv city state administration citing a resolution on the matter.
On August 18 and August 21 from 6 pm through 11 pm the traffic will be limited on the Khreschatyk Street to permit troops train before the military parade.
The transport vehicle traffic will be also limited on August 24 for the time of the military parade from 08 am through 1 pm.
According to the statement, the traffic on the Khreschatyk Street on the way from Independence Square to European Square will be blocked from 8 pm on August 21 until 7 am on August 25.
The Kyiv city state administration has informed the municipal company Kyivdorservis to install required road signs and to introduce required corrections on electronic displays near the Square of Europe and Independence Square.
The Kyiv city state administration has informed the main department for transport to make changes in the work of the city public transport.
As it was earlier reported, the Defense Ministry will spend the military parade on the Khreschatyk Street on Independence Day. Nearly 4000 troops will march there on August 24.
The military machinery won't participate in the parade, but it will be exhibited in the Kyiv downtown. |
