
Our country still waits that agreements on the formation of a free trade area with the European Union and on an association with the union will be concluded at a summit in Kyiv in December 2009, according to Mykola Tochytskiy, the chairman of the Presidential Secretariat main service on international collaboration.
"The expectations do exist. We really have plans to conclude the mentioned agreements at the summit," he reported at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.
He noted that experts from the secretariat and the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry actively worked in this direction.
"Such negotiations will be held, including during the Ukrainian president further visit to a European country," Tochytsky noted.
It is expected that the Ukraine-EU summit will be held in Kyiv on December 4, 2009.
